NESTLING was born from a simple belief: every child deserves a safe, beautiful space to grow. Founded in 2010 by parents who couldn't find furniture that matched their values, we set out to create nursery pieces that are as kind to the planet as they are to your little ones.

How It Began

From Parents, For Parents

When our founders, Sarah and Michael Chen, were expecting their first child in 2010, they went on a mission to furnish the perfect nursery. What they found was disappointing - mass-produced furniture made from questionable materials, with little attention to safety or sustainability.

With backgrounds in furniture design and environmental science, they decided to create something better. Starting in their garage in Brooklyn, they crafted their first crib by hand using sustainably sourced oak and non-toxic finishes.

Word spread quickly among their parent friends, and what started as a personal project became a mission. Today, NESTLING operates from a 50,000 sq ft facility in North Carolina, but our commitment remains the same: creating furniture that parents can trust and children will love.
